Entrepreneurship Program: Supporting Young Talent and Opportunity
As part of the Entrepreneurship Program of the Nicolas Ng Chan Foundation of Calbayog City (NNCF Calbayog), the foundation proudly supported Wilson So, conductor of the CKC Youth Symphony Orchestra, in receiving his national award at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Recognized as one of the Top 10 Musicians in Eastern Visayas by the Wedding Suppliers Association of the Philippines, Wilson’s achievement reflects the value of hard work, discipline, creativity, and dedication to one’s craft.
To help make this opportunity possible, NNCF Calbayog provided financial assistance for transportation expenses so Wilson could personally attend the awarding ceremony and represent Calbayog City on a national stage.
Through the Entrepreneurship Program, the foundation continues to support young individuals who show passion, initiative, and potential in their chosen field—whether in business, leadership, or the arts. By investing in young talents like Wilson, we hope to inspire the next generation to pursue excellence, develop their skills, and contribute positively to the growth of the community.

NNCF Calbayog and SOS Children’s Village Calbayog Launch Swine Livelihood Program

As part of the Entrepreneurship Program of the Nicolas Ng Chan Foundation of Calbayog City (NNCF Calbayog), a meaningful partnership was officially launched with SOS Children’s Village Calbayog through the implementation of the Swine Livelihood Program last April 7, 2026.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing and the turnover of piglets to selected beneficiaries from Barangays Sinidman Norte and Gadgaran. This initiative aims to provide families with sustainable livelihood opportunities that can help improve their quality of life and create long-term sources of income.
More than simply distributing livestock, the program represents a shared commitment to empowering communities through practical and sustainable support. By combining livelihood assistance with guidance and community participation, the initiative seeks to encourage self-reliance, responsibility, and economic growth among beneficiaries.
NNCF Calbayog believes that entrepreneurship begins by creating opportunities that allow families to build a more secure future for themselves and their children. Through programs like this, the foundation hopes to strengthen communities by supporting initiatives that promote dignity, resilience, and long-term development.
We extend our sincere gratitude to SOS Children’s Village Calbayog for their trust, collaboration, and support in making this initiative possible. May this partnership continue to create meaningful impact and open more opportunities for the communities we serve.
